Nick acts as the UK representative to the European Commission on matters relating to cultural policy and technology. In his role as CEO at Collections Trust, he has secured more than EUR19m in new investment in museums, archives and libraries. In his previous work, he helped secure more than £70m in new funding for digitisation programmes.
Prior to joining the Collections Trust, Nick was a Policy Adviser to the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) and has also worked in the financial services sector. He holds degrees in Modern Languages, Historical Linguistics and the History and Philosophy of Science, as well as postgraduate qualifications in Linguistics and Fine art and Illustration.
Nick has published and lectured in the UK and worldwide on subjects relating to Collections Management and the legal, economic and ethical issues relating to delivering collections-based services.
